Marinos Michael
Marinos Michael, born in Limassol, Cyprus, in 1980, is a registered external auditor under the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). After completing his studies and professional training, he became an ACCA member in 2004. After a 10-year career with reputable international accounting firms he set up Exertus in 2009 in his hometown, Limassol. He has worked in all positions of financial and internal audit, among others, he considers an accomplishment the write-up of an internal control manual for one of the largest land development companies in Cyprus. He was involved in and managed the internal and financial audits of known land developing and construction companies, manufacturing companies, local and international trading companies, licensed Cyprus investment firms, hotel resort groups as well as public organisations such as municipalities, the Cyprus Sports Organisation and the Cyprus Tourism Organisation. With the set-up of Exertus in 2009, he manages accounting, audit, and internal audit projects for organisations operating both in Cyprus and abroad, mostly in countries of Europe, Russia and Asia.
With a career of 25 years in the profession, he recognises the need for a properly organised accounting, tax and corporate governance environment for an organisation to achieve its objectives. With Exertus, the aim is to offer back-end support for organisations’ smooth operation to realise their full potential in a complex and consistently developing society.
